On January 24th at the Hydro-Québec amphitheater, Geneviève Vachon will hold a lecture on the work of the research partnership Living in Northern Quebec. With "Mobilizing, understanding, imagining" as general objectives, the partnership cogitates on architectural and urban design issues in Innu and Inuit communities. The challenges of the northern indigenous habitat are numerous and are addressed through experiences and research-creation projects, which raise questions about sustainable development and construction, the identity and sense of place, the capacity for local actions, etc. For more informations, follow this link.
