Pierre-Olivier Demeule remporte le prix d'excellence 2019 du magazine Canadian Architect. Les membres du jury Rami Bebawi de KANVA, Joe Lobko de DTAH et Cindy Wilson de LWPAC/Intelligent City se sont rencontrés six jours après une grève climatique mondiale, à mi-chemin des élections fédérales, avec des troubles politiques aux Etats-Unis et des troubles sociaux à Hong Kong. L'un des critères d'attribution des prix était la "démonstration d'une conscience sociale et environnementale". Cette année, ces préceptes ont trouvé un écho particulier. Pierre-Olivier Demeule wins 2019 Canadian Architect Awards of Excellence. Jury's members, Rami Bebawi of KANVA, Joe Lobko of DTAH, and Cindy Wilson of LWPAC/Intelligent City met six days after a global climate strike, midway through the federal election, with ongoing political turmoil in the US and social unrest in Hong Kong.
