The architect Alain Fournier has almost a 30 years experience in northern architecture and is a partner of the research project Living in Northern Quebec. In Nordicité 2016 Symposium held in Montreal last March, he presented ‘’Decolonizing Architecture: Towards an Indigenous Architecture’’. Fournier insists that northern architecture can promote cultural diversity, but technical aspects of the building often overshadow those considerations.
